A half mile stretch of the Mississippi River at McGregor, Iowa, has been designated as a slow-no-wake zone for all recreational vehicles.

Heavy rains, violent lightning, high winds controlled the night Thursday and into early Friday morning. Sirens sounded in Prairie du Chien around 10pm when a Tornado Warning took effect. Cloud rotations were spotted near Eastman.
