Flagger Accidentally Struck by Truck in Highway 35 Construction
By PdC Today • Oct 5th, 2009 • Category: NewsA traffic flagger was accidentally struck by a truck on Highway 35 near Limery Road on the north side of Prairie du Chien.
John Heick, age 76, of Elkader was stopped in traffic during road construction. While waiting, his foot slipped off the brake pedal and his truck went forward striking the flagger.
Susan Conrad, age 40, of Holmen was struck by the truck on her right arm. She refused medical treatment.
Nearly five miles of Highway 35 is under under construction between Washington Street to County N. Work is expected to end by mid-October.
