Car Crashes Into Wauzeka-Steuben School Bus

A car crashed into a Wauzeka-Steuben school bus Wednesday afternoon on Highway 60. Kenneth Borth, age 85, of Prairie du Chien did not realize the school bus was stopped when he drove his Chevy Malibu into the back of the bus.

The bus, driven by Bruce Zinkle, was stopped waiting for two students to finish crossing the highway.

One student on the bus received a possible back injury but did not want medical treatment.

Borth was taken by EMS to Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital then transported to La Crosse. He had a laceration on his arm and possible internal injuries. His car was severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

The school bus received minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene.
