Sewer Line Replacement to Affect Several PdC Alleys
By PdC Today • Sep 3rd, 2009 • Category: NewsThe sanitary sewer main line and portions of the sewer laterals will be replaced in several Prairie du Chien alleys beginning after the Labor Day weekend. The project should last approximately three weeks depending on the weather and any other unforeseen delays according to Prairie du Chien Co-Public Works Manager Terry Meyer.
During the work, there will be limited access – and sometimes no access – to the alleys. Meyer says every attempt will be made to limit inconveniences as much as possible. “Sewer use will be available during the construction,” says Meyer, “if usage is restricted, you will be notified.”
The Wastewater staff will have an operator on site as often as possible to address questions or concerns.
The project will begin at Taylor Street and continue north to Webster Street.
