A Prairie du Chien man is dead and three others are injured after an automobile accident in rural northeast Iowa Monday.

David Kirschbaum, age 27, of Prairie Du Chien was killed. Two other passengers and the driver, Chad Feller of Prairie du Chien, were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.

The accident happened northeast of Monona around 2:50pm. Feller lost control of his truck, hit a ditch embankment, rolled, and stopped in the middle of the roadway.

The Iowa State Patrol says at least two of the passengers, including Kirschbaum, were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
