Crawford County Incident Report For Week Ending September 6

Sheriff Jerry Moran reported the following incidents and accidents for the week ending September 6, 2009.

Tuesday, September 1
Dogs were reported running loose on 3rd Street in the Village of Wauzeka.

Thursday, September 3
A theft of a 1996 Dodge Intrepid was reported in Ferryville.

Friday, September 4
A traffic accident occurred on County Rd. W in Scott Township. Fred Sanders of Boscobel, was operating a 2002 Dodge truck, pulling a trailer loaded with large round bales, when several bales dislodged and rolled off the trailer into the path of an oncoming motorcycle operated by Joe Beitz of Watertown. Beitz was unable to avoid the bales. No injuries were reported.

Livestock, owned by Todd Groom, was reported loose on County Rd. E, Boscobel.

Saturday, September 5
Roberta Dolezal, Gays Mills, reported that the rear window of her Subaru station wagon had been broken out, while the vehicle was parked in her driveway on STH. 171.

Sunday, September 6
A dog bite was reported at E. Taylor Street in Prairie du Chien.

A traffic accident occurred on STH. 60, in Wauzeka Township. Barbara Coorough of Hillsboro, was operating a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina, when a dog ran into the roadway and into the side of her of her car. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

A report of abandoned property was received from Bench Street in Lynxville.
