Two Vehicle Accident in Soldiers Grove Sends Woman to Hospital
By PdC Today • Aug 29th, 2009 • Category: NewsA Viroqua woman went to the hospital with minor injuries after being hit by a car driven by Keith Baker of Soldiers Grove.
The accident happened on Highway 61 at New Well Road in the village of Soldiers Grove. Mary Miller, age 54, was driving north on the highway when Baker, age 16, drove into her path. He was turning onto the highway after stopping on New Well Road. Baker did not see Miller’s vehicle.
Both vehicles suffered severe damage and were towed from the scene.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Miller was taken by North Crawford EMS to Vernon Memorial Hospital. Baker was not injured.
Baker was charged with Failure to Yield the Right of Way from a stop sign.
