Prairie du Chien police found stolen property in a vehicle driven by Christopher Easterling.

The police searched the vehicle Friday after serving a search warrant. The search yielded a variety of items, including: sporting goods, fishing tackle, tools, construction equipment, gasoline cans, portable spotlights, and electronics.

Easterling’s vehicle was impounded on July 26 after suspected stolen property was observed by officers during a traffic stop.  He was unable to prove ownership of any of the items.

The police are encouraging area residents to contat investigator Terry Sprosty at 326-2421 immediately if they believe to be the rightful owner of any of the stolen items.
