The War of 1812 came to Prairie du Chien on July 17, 1814 when U.S. and British-Canadian soldiers clashed on what are now the grounds of Villa Louis. Events from the historic event will be interpreted through a living history camp and a narrated battle that will take place each day.

There will be two battle re-enactments. One on Saturday at 7:00pm.  The other on Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm.

Following the battle on Saturday night, the Prairie du Chien Chamber of Commerce sponsors the annual fireworks display.  The best view of the fireworks can be had from Lawler Park on St. Feriole Island.

PdCToday.com will post video of the event later.
