The Kickapoo River has experienced a great deal of flooding in recent years. The purpose of this seminar is to provide for an exchange of information between various State, Local, and Federal agencies, and the public that we serve. There are many varied users and interested parties in the Kickapoo Valley, and many have their own information, history, and perceptions on the river and its behavior. It is the goal of this seminar to bring as many of these user groups together in one place, to provide an environment where ideas and information can be exchanged.
Topics of discussion will include: River level monitoring; flood forecasting; environmental concerns; local impacts; and emergency planning.
