Cancer Society to “Paint the Town Purple” for Relay For Life in PdC
By PdC Today • Jul 14th, 2009 • Category: NewsThe American Cancer Society (ACS) will “Paint the Town Purple” in celebration of the Relay for Life in Prairie du Chien. The local planning committee is hoping local businesses will support the ACS by displaying a large purple bow and Relay for Life window cling in their store windows. They are asking for a $25 donation in exchange for the purple bow.
Residents of Prairie du Chien and surrounding communities can receive a purple bow for a $10 donation.
This year’s Prairie du Chien Relay for Life will be at Prairie du Chien High School on August 7th & 8th. Opening ceremonies begin at 6:00pm. Teams of people camp out for 15 hours, walking laps on a track, socializing, and participating in planned activities.
If you are interested in displaying a purple bow, contact Rachel Smith at (608) 306-0872.
