Motorcycle Collides With, Kills Deer South of PdC

Saturday (June 27) morning, a motorcycle driven by David Shultz, 59, of Minnesota was riding his motorcycle on Highway 18 when he collided with a deer that ran onto the roadway near Old 18.

Shultz and his passenger were thrown from his 2005 Honda Goldwing. Shultz suffered a broken wrist and road rash.  His passenger sustained road rash and a head injury.  Neither were wearing helmets.

The motorcycle was driven from the scene with minor damage.

The deer is dead.
