Body Exhumed From Evergreen Cemetary

Wednesday (May 13) morning, the body of Kenneth J. Allington was exhumed from the Evergreen Cemetary in Prairie du Chien by Crawford County Police and the Coroner’s Office. The body was taken to the VA Medical Center in Madison for a second autopsy.

The police did not release any specific information about why a second autopsy was suggested.  However, in a press release, they did say that new information obtained in February 2008 has lead to re-opening the case.  Crawford County Crimestoppers is asking the public for any information about Kenneth Allington’s death.

The Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation is assisting with the investigation.

Allington was found dead in his home on Mill Coulee Road on April 30, 2005. The autopsy conducted at that time revealed no specific cause of death. Kenneth was born in Prairie du Chien in 1951. He graduated from Seneca High School in 1969. He married Penny Prichard on August 10, 2002 at their home. He was a self-employed entrepreneur.
