By Dan Moris • Apr 13th, 2009 • Category: NewsSixteen people were thrown from a horse-drawn wagon during an Easter Wagon Ride on Sunday in Woodman Township in Grant County. (View GoogleMap of accident location.) Nine people were injured. Six of the nine were treated at hospitals in Lancaster and Boscobel. Two were transported to Madison by Medflight. One victim was transported to La Crosse by Medlink Air.
It is believed a piece of equipment on the wagon broke sending the wagon into the horses. The horses then went off a steep embankment with the wagon behind. All sixteen people were ejected landing in a rocky ditch.
